Well, I was overly optimistic. Seems that all I really did was access the library on my iPod separately from the library on the laptop. Not what I hoped for. Now it seems I have to find the Ipod CD-Rom in order to read up on how to transfer songs from the iPod to the laptop. Hopefully, I won't have too much trouble finding it since it's not where I thought I left it.
Hmm.
